Between Here and There, Part II

$600.00

“Between Here and There” is a hauntingly beautiful diptych that explores the fragile threshold between despair and hope, desolation and renewal. Each piece is 20 inches x 20 inches, oil on canvas.

In the first panel, a barren, colorless world stretches out—trees stripped bare, the ground lifeless, the sky heavy with silence. Yet, piercing this bleakness stands a glowing portal wrapped in verdant vines and vivid blossoms. Through it, a lush, vibrant world is revealed: water flows freely, flowers bloom, and light bathes the scene in warmth and promise.

The second panel immerses us in that promised land—a sanctuary of life and movement. We see the same portal from within, still tethered to the shadowy realm beyond by a blackened, reaching branch. This connection between worlds suggests memory, pain, and possibility can coexist.

Together, these works speak of transitions—emotional, spiritual, even environmental—and the courage it takes to step through the unknown in pursuit of something more alive.
