Finding Light in the Darkness Our world is experiencing a time of profound distress. It is easy to become consumed by fear, division, and feelings of helplessness when faced with the challenges that surround us. Yet even in the darkest moments, light remains. Through my paintings, I hope to remind viewers of the brightness of humanity—our capacity for kindness, love, compassion, and connection. I believe that when we look beyond fear and toward one another, we discover our shared strength and our ability to create a more unified and caring world. My work also reflects the importance of our relationship with the natural world. Mother Nature offers us solace, beauty, and a gentle reminder that we are part of something greater than ourselves. In difficult times, she provides a warm embrace and an opportunity to reconnect with what truly matters. Through color, imagery, and emotion, I seek to express hope. My paintings are an invitation to pause, to remember the goodness that exists within humanity, to honor our connection to the earth, and to find light even in the midst of darkness.

Laura is a kind, wise soul, and her talent shines through her art. I own many of her beautiful works, but her black and white piece "Lost" moved me deeply. It captures the feeling of loneliness and the longing to belong, yet also offers a quiet sense of peace. Knowing others feel the same is strangely comforting. I'm honored to own it.

I commissioned Laura to paint a hibiscus flower after seeing her other work. I am very pleased with the result and am happy to bring the outside in.
